Privacy Policy

Last Updated: July 2, 2026

At gometrify, we are committed to protecting your privacy and security. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share information when you use our website, short link tools, and analytics dashboards.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information that you provide directly to us (such as account credentials, name, and email address) and information generated automatically when users interact with your shortened links.

  • Account Information: When you sign up, we store your email address, workspace configurations, and name.
  • Billing Data: All payments are processed securely via third-party providers (PayPal). We do not store your credit card details on our servers.
  • Click Analytics Data: To provide you with campaign statistics, we collect redirect details including: device type, browser, referring domain, and edge location info (country, city, region).

2. First-Party & Cookieless Tracking

We respect user privacy. Unlike traditional analytics trackers, gometrify uses a daily salted SHA-256 visitor hash to track unique clicks without placing tracking cookies on visitors' browsers and without storing personally identifiable information (PII) like full IP addresses.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and maintain the short link and campaign analytics dashboard.
  • Process payments and subscriptions.
  • Monitor link performance, UTM parameters, and protect our platform from bot attacks.

4. Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data or campaign analytics data to third parties. We share data only with trusted service providers necessary to host our application (Vercel) and handle checkout functions (PayPal).

5. Your Data Rights

You may view, edit, or delete your account information anytime directly in your settings dashboard. If you wish to fully delete your account and all associated short link click histories, please contact support.

6. Anonymous Website Heatmaps

We use anonymous, cookieless page layout heatmaps (powered by Microsoft Clarity) to understand which navigation links and marketing sections are most helpful to visitors.
